Call us today to schedule a free slide show!

The Trust is available to present educational PowerPoint slide shows free of charge for interested organizations and groups. Shows include:

1. A Heron's View of Harwich: Aerial Photos of our Ponds, Coast, and Conservation Lands.

DESCRIPTION:
The Trust's Save Land-Save Water Initiative and Priority Ponds Project are two ways we are helping to protect sensitive water resources by saving surrounding lands. Explore some of our shared land conservation successes from the air.

2. Conserving Critical Habitats across Harwich and Cape Cod

DESCRIPTION:
Harwich and the Cape are home to many wildlife habitats and resident creatures. Learn more about habitat threats, conservation sanctuaries, and of course, our wild neighbors.

3. Vernal Pools: Romance in Your Backyard?

DESCRIPTION:
These special places are critical for certain frogs and salamanders breeding in the spring. What does a vernal pool look like? Where do I find one? Who uses it? Come find out!

4. Open Space Priorities & Conservation Methods

DESCRIPTION:
Land acquisition dollars are limited and prices are high, so land trusts need to prioritize land protection opportunities. Learn about ranking open space opportunities and potential conservation methods.

5. Priority Ponds Project

DESCRIPTION:
Harwich and other Cape Cod towns are graced with freshwater ponds like so many shimmering blue jewels. The best way to protect pond water quality, wildlife habitat, and recreational benefits is to protect the surrounding lands. Learn about the Cape Cod Priority Ponds Project designed to rank pondfront parcels Capewide for conservation purposes illustrated with conservation success stories.

We are always creating more presentations. Future shows could include:

Herring: History, Habits and Habitat
Thompson’s Field: Volunteers enhance open field habitat
