CAPE COD at Three Miles an Hour “A sense of place that can only be learned on foot” A collection of nature writings by Lee W. Baldwin Please take this opportunity to pre-order CAPE COD at Three Miles an Hour, a one-of-a-kind collection of nature writings by Lee W. Baldwin. Lee was a talented naturalist and writer who both amazed and amused us with her outdoor observations. The Harwich Conservation Trust is producing CAPE COD at Three Miles an Hour to honor her memory and raise funds to protect open space. Lee helped to preserve land throughout Harwich as an active Trustee with the Harwich Conservation Trust. She led countless walks and always encouraged others to discover the natural world around us. The Trust is grateful for her land protection work, shares her conservation ethic and continues to be inspired by her exuberant open space spirit. CAPE COD at Three Miles an Hour, originally titled by Lee and edited by her daughter Sherill, offers intriguing insights about the Cape’s varied environment and unique natural history. The book also features seventeen black & white illustrations by local artist Rebecca S. Lach as well as a foreword by nationally known author Anne D. LeClaire. The cost of Cape Cod at Three Miles an Hour is just $14.95. Postage & handling: When ordering one book, please add $3.50. When ordering two or more books, please add $5.50. Massachusetts sales tax: If we are mailing the book(s) to an address in Massachusetts, then please factor in the 5% state sales tax. Please pay by check only, payable to the Harwich Conservation Trust. Mail to: Harwich Conservation Trust, P.O. Box 205, Harwich Port, MA 02646. HCT will use all proceeds from the sale of CAPE COD at Three Miles an Hour to preserve open space in Harwich. When you buy the book, you save open space - what an opportunity! |
