Sunday, September 12, 2 pm:
Fall Flowers Botanical Walk at Banks Street Bogs Nature Preserve
Join botanist, Rich Eldred, to search for goldenrods and asters in a recovering cranberry bog system.
Directions:
From Harwich Center go south on Bank Street. Park at the Harbormaster's Workshop on the left at 203 Bank St.

Friday, September 17, 10 am:
Fall Wildflowers, Berries and Bird Walk at Thompson’s Field

Naturalist Connie Boyce will interpret the season in this recovering old pasture habitat.
Directions:
From the intersection of Rts. 124 and 39, drive 0.9 miles east. Park on the right side of Rt. 39.


Friday, September 24, 6:15 pm:
Sunset Full Moon Walk at Red River Beach

Gather at the west end of the beach parking lot with walk leader Peggy Rose to watch the full moon rise over Nantucket Sound.
Directions:
From Rt 28 in South Harwich, go south on Uncle Venie’s Rd to Red River Beach.

Saturday, September 25, 10:00 am:
A Walk in the Hawksnest Woods with Commentary

Join veteran walk leader Irwin Schorr as he interprets the six ponds area.
Directions:
From Route 6, Exit 11, go west on Spruce Rd. Park on the shoulder of Spruce Rd. near the intersection with Hawksnest Rd. (not marked).

Archeology Walk at Bell’s Neck Conservation Lands

Join archaeologist, Fred Dunford, to look at native habitation sites from 8,000 years ago. FREE, but limited to 30 people. Call 508-432-3997, or email hct@cape.com to reserve a spot and receive directions.

Saturday, October 2, 4 pm:
Nature Walk at Coy’s Brook Woodlands

Examine marsh, bog, cedar swamp and upland habitats with naturalist Mary Metzger.
Directions:
From Harwich Center go west on Great Western Rd. Turn south on Lothrop. Parking lot is on the right just past the water tower.


Saturday, October 9, 10:00 am:
Old Colony Railroad and Harwich Commercial Cranberry Bogs

Join naturalist Todd Kelley of www.kelleytrailblazer.com to learn about the Old Colony Railroad on Cape Cod and its connection to commercial cranberry bogs in Harwich as you walk to Cahoons Canal and Pleasant Lake Village.
Directions:
From Exit 10 go north on Route 124. Turn left onto Headwater’s Drive. Meet at the rail trail parking lot.
