2011 Interns with the
Harwich Conservation Trust

HCT has been fortunate to work with an amazing group of volunteers over the past few years. This year, HCT has had several volunteer interns that have gone above and beyond to help HCT in many ongoing stewardship projects. Here is a short biography of each intern.

Emily Kemp is a sophomore at Hobart and William Smith Colleges studying Economics and Women Studies. She is a member of her school’s varsity rowing team. Emily spends her summers in Harwich Port with her grandmother (who is an HCT supporter) and enjoys sailing. Emily helps out in both the office and the field, completing various tasks, coordinating events, and maintaining trails.
Molly Davidson is a junior at Colgate University. She is a history major, a member of Delta Delta Delta, and on the cheerleading team. She enjoys running and going to the beach. This summer, Molly has helped to eliminate invasive species and monitor properties, as well as perform tasks in the office.
Logan Fockler (age 12), Trevor Ridley (age 13), and Jarek Lenda (age 15) are summer youth volunteers. These local youth volunteer up to 3 days a week and are the "heavy lifters" of HCT's 2011 summer stewardship program. Together, they help maintain trails, remove invasive plants, and help fulfill stewardship objectives.
